Ethan Hippel from the First Western Vancouver Cub Scout Troop has attained each one of his Sixty three badges in only three years.

Hippel, who has attained badges for everything from snow-boarding to participating in the shoreline cleanup under the Lion's Gate Bridge, had been honoured at a special merit ceremony on April 19 by Scouts Canada and West Vancouver Mayor Michael Smith.

Met Police officers have been instructed "not to put on a Union badge" in tribute to fallen co-workers as it breaches uniform policy, the police federation said.

Numerous officers were given instructions not to wear the charity badge after the loss of Police constable Dave Phillips on Monday, the federation's ceo reported.

PC Phillips was killed after being hit by a truck in Wallasey, Merseyside.
